Southeast Asia emerges: a concise: history of Southeast Asia from its origin to the present
First published in 1964 as part of Asia emerges, by A. J. Tudisco; rev. and expanded.
Southeast Asia Emerges, like the other books in the series, is an extension of materials gathered for the popular text, Asia Emerges. Through their work on that book the co-authors, C. David Bromwell and A. J. Tudisco, indirectly helped in the preparation of the present volume, which is completely new.
Most of the photographs of contemporary scenes were supplied by the Pacific Area Travel Association, San Francisco, whose efforts to explain Pacific countries to the rest of the world have been invaluable to many researchers. Other photographs were supplied by the United Press and the Associated Press.
